Carnell Tate TAKES OVER as Cam Ward and Titans Win Bears Joint Practice

Carnell Tate delivered seven catches and two touchdowns as Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans offense put together a strong performance against the Chicago Bears in their final joint practice of training camp. After a relatively quiet stretch of training camp, the Titans rookie wide receiver made contested plays, connected with Ward on scramble drills and repeatedly stood out against Chicago. Ward started slowly with some high throws before settling in and producing several impressive completions. His day included an interception and a dangerous throw to Wan’Dale Robinson, but also the explosive plays Tennessee needed to see from its passing offense. Tony Pollard delivered a deep reception and a long run, Gunner Helm made an impressive one-handed sideline catch, and Chimere Dike caught a touchdown while working with the first-team offense after Robinson left practice. Robinson was being evaluated for a concussion at the time of recording following a hit from former Titans safety Xavier Woods.
